一、研究的思路
探索开展英语情景对话小组竞赛学习活动如何提高学生的学习兴趣。寻找一些行之有效的方法,措施,模式。如何让教师乐教?如何让学生乐学?学生是否对教师的课感兴趣?学生的思维是否被激活?学生是否形成了良好的学习习惯?学生是否掌握 了有效的学习方法?
二、课题研究的主要问题
通过研究如何用丰富的英语情景对话小组竞赛来提高学生学习英语的兴趣,来探索 出一条巧编情景对话来极大地提高学生对英语的乐学,会学的新路子。借鉴游戏闯关升级的长处并尝试运用到英语的课堂教学中来,让学生感觉到学习跟玩游戏一样有趣。
尝试教会学生根据课程需要编排小品的作业形式,以使学生更好的巩固所学知识,解决老一套作业使学生厌烦的问题。
最后形成:情景对话小组竞赛——学生乐学——所学知识巩固——顺利完成作业——兴趣提高。
三、课题研究的方法
1,调查法:先调查一下目前我校英语组课堂教学存在的问题。摸清目前教师在教学中的优势与不足。了解学生目前欣赏教师教学的哪些方面以及不喜欢的地方。再制 定下一步具体的改进措施。
2.通过对有关课堂教学、课堂讨论等有关理论的学习,积累详实的资料,并找准理论依据,为后期开展研究奠定基础。
3.通过参加课题研究的教师开展丰富多彩的有效的使用的教学活动。
4.将一系列的课堂教学活动当作一个个案例,具体问题、具体分析,进行归纳处理。
5.采集最新的最时尚的教学理论及课堂活动信息来为此次研究服务。
6.可把师生的教学活动以照片,录像等资料记录下来,并制作课件进行播放,以 增强师生的成就感,提高学生的学习兴趣。
7.通过开展英语课堂讨论的教学实践活动,及时总结经验,及时加
以推广,将一般做法上升到一定的理论高度,并作出适当的表述。
四、课题的完成时间和预期效果
第一个阶段:准备阶段
时间:2010年3月——4月
预期效果:组织全组成员学习相关的资料。收集资料,了解目前教师教法的优劣 及学生的学习现状。综合意见,修改、完善内容,进一步理清研究思路。制定研究方案,建立课题研究小组,培训队伍。
第二个阶段:课题研究活动实施过程
时间:2010年4月——7月。
预期效果:改变老套的让学生厌烦的教学模式,采用能吸引学生的实用的时尚的情景对话竞赛形式的课堂教学:根据教材的需要编排情景对话并开展竞赛活动。观摩课,拍照,录像并用它来制作实用的课件。让教师尝到愉快教学的甜头,让学生感受 到学习就像玩一样有趣。教师乐教,学生乐学。
第三个阶段:修正阶段
时间:2010年9月——10月
预期效果:初步形成有价值的经验成果。根据课题研究的初步成果,教师再进行反思,看看是否还有更好的教学方法。学生也可提出更好的学习意见以产生更好的学习方法。进一步推广课题研究的成果。此期间要强调:教师和学生双丰收!
第四个阶段:结题验收阶段
时间:2010年11月——12月
预期效果:成果总结,有精品课的录像及图片资料,精品论文,顺利结题。

一对话式教学的概念和特点
早在几年前相关的调查组在大学生的群体当中对学生进行了问卷调查, 发现接近70%的学生自认为与英语教师之间缺乏有效的沟通, 从这个数据看出了在当今的大学英语教学中普遍存在的一系列问题[1]。对话式教学的本质在于通过对话在双方之间建立精神领域上的回应, 这种对话形式不单只是一种简单的言语表达方式, 它更能让对话双方敞开心扉, 交流互动, 这种模式在教学的方式、目的、伦理以及思维等方面都具有创新性的意义。通常来说, 对话式教学有两种含义, 首先它是指两人或两人以上之间的对话, 其次它也可以表示双方之间涉及多方面知识的谈话, 是一种语言学的现象, 这种现象有以下几个特点:
1 形成一种双赢的效果
对话式应用在英语的教学中, 可以让师生之间互相发现自己或是对方的想法、问题以及错误, 无论是教师还是学生在对话中都能有所收获。真正的对话内容是没有过多的正确错误之分的, 也无须以说服别人的目的表达观点, 因此形成了一种双赢的效果。

这里指的课本并不完全是英语课本中相关的英语教学知识, 它更强调一种教师与学生在教学和学习的过程中共同创造出来的知识产物, 包括了课程知识、材料知识以及总结的知识。在过去传统的英语教学中, 教师往往都非常依赖英语课本相关的参考书, 通过自己消化吸收参考书中相关知识点的英语语言特色以及语句结构, 再把它传授给学生。这种备课的方式虽然有很好的效率, 但却使得教师在备课时缺乏对知识理念的思考, 如果运用时间太长的话, 教师就会逐渐丧失本应具备的教学思考能力, 逐渐形成机械地照搬知识传递给学生的教学习惯。
对话式的英语教学方式则强调了教师与课本之间的对话关系, 这其中包括了传统教学中的课本备课内容, 包括相关英语词句的结构和语法, 它还需要教师引入有关典故或文化背景的知识点进去, 使学生学到课本没有的知识。例如大学英语课程中学习有关揭开泰坦尼克沉船谜底的内容, 它实际是讨论了传统观念中“女士优先”的问题, 而英语课文中只对泰坦尼克的背景、时间、地点进行了描述, 至于在1912年有关妇女社会地位的历史分析则需要教师利用课外时间查找相关资料, 掌握充分的信息在课堂上向学生展示。文中还涉及到了一些典故, 比如“chicken is only egg’s way”, 这在英语的表述中是有关遗传学的俗语, 教师课堂向学生解释的时候, 必须提前了解这句话的出处, 了解作者引用这句话的原因, 再结合整篇文章的语境进行合理的分析。面对学生有可能提出的“为何这句话通过这种逻辑方式表述”之类的问题时, 教师要做好充分的备课准备, 而在课前备课的过程中还必须详细了解文章作者的写作意图, 作者如何用英语文字传达所要表达的信息, 又如何组织英语语言一步步接近自己的写作意图, 最终又想表达怎样的目的等[2]。
经过这种方式认真地进行备课, 理清了教学思路以后, 教师在课前对文章的把握就可以从很浅的文字表述上升到了深刻观点意义的精神领悟, 从而更详细地掌握了英语课文的信息, 在课堂对学生进行知识传播时也更显得游刃有余。此外, 教师还要思考课本内容安排的实际意义, 在有限的课堂教学中不要追求面面俱到, 深入地思考每一篇教学内容的意义和价值, 有选择性地选取材料进行教学, 准确地利用英语课本资料传达教育信息。
2 学生与课本之间的对话
过去传统的英语教学模式强调学生在课堂中理解吸收教师所传授的知识, 目的在于运用课本知识在实际的交流沟通中解决问题, 这种教学形式受到了一定的限制。而在对话式的教学模式中, 更强调了化被动学习为主动学习的目的, 学生的主动学习首先就要求其在课堂前像教师一样对课文知识进行预习, 思考文章构成的框架和知识的应用, 深刻地理解文章的表达及含义。由于大学生基本都具备了一定的英语知识储备, 因此有能力理解英语课本字面的含义, 但是要想获取更多的收获, 则必须在课前付诸行动。课前预习的时候学生就要从课本中发现自己能理解的信息, 同时再找出有疑问的知识点, 不懂的问题课堂上向老师寻求答案, 只有经历了这个思考的过程, 才会有深刻的印象。由于课堂上学生会带着问题听课, 对话式的课前预习给了学生在课中二次学习的机会, 学生认真并主动地捕捉不懂的知识点, 有针对性地对自己的知识结构进行整合和补充, 从而大幅度提高学习效率。
学生从预习的环节中可以发现一些有暗示性的语句, 回到之前有关泰坦尼克的文章事例分析, 从“Should not any self-respecting modern person, let along feminist, object to it as insulting to women?”这句话中, 学生们会发现文章的作者是一位女性, 但通过文章可知作者反对“女士优先”的传统观点, 这就是隐藏在某个词句中的有关全文内容和背景资料的信息, 学生结合这些细节有利于更清楚地掌握文章表达的内涵。同时, 这又是学生与文章作者的对话, 可以引发学生的思考:作者为什么要引用这样一句话?在泰坦尼克的文章中又是如何表现这句话的?带着强烈的疑问再次进入文章的阅读中, 从而更有针对性地对文章内容及语句进行学习掌握。
3 教师与学生之间的对话
教师与学生之间的对话能够深刻地反映学生主体地位以及教师主导作用之间的关系。针对英语成绩较好的学生, 教师其实不需要与其进行过多的交流, 因为过多地偏爱成绩优秀的学生会使得其他学生对教师产生偏见。教师只需要对他们提问, 在得到满意解答后加以鼓励, 从而起到树立榜样的作用。而成绩中等的学生通常会占总数的大部分, 针对这些学生, 教师除了激励他们说出思考后的解答外, 适当地给予一些鼓励的话语, 为学生树立信心。另外还有一些成绩较差的学生, 教师要给予充分的关注, 在努力引导他们给出正确答案后要给予更多的赞许, 不但能增强自信, 还有利于激发他们学习英语的兴趣。除了根据学生本身的英语知识框架进行有针对性的教育以外, 还要考虑到学生的接受水平, 教师在课堂上的讲课速度要有目的性的调整。
4 学生与学生之间的对话
加强学生之间的对话交流, 是提高学生学习效率的有效手段之一, 它是学生个体间思维的交流与碰撞, 能够让学生在探讨问题的过程中发现自身认知上的不足, 对别人提出的观点进行理解和消化, 从而使得自己的英语知识结构得到更完整的构建。在英语学习的课堂上, 学生之间的对话主要有几种形式:
第一, 教师让学生自行成立小组, 通过对课题的设立展开讨论, 以寻求答案。在这个过程中, 学生除了可以表达自己的想法, 还能够学会如何接受别人不同的观点, 相互比较进行思考, 学习更多的观点, 吸收新的技巧。
第二, 教师在课堂上还可以通过表演、辩论等形式组织开展学习的活动, 这些活动需要学生对学习的知识进行事先的梳理, 有的表演则需要学生在课前背诵一些英语课文语句, 甚至在表演中即兴发挥, 这除了让学生养成课前预习的好习惯外, 还能无形中增加学生自身的英语用语的储备量, 依靠记忆的能力在表演中发挥出来, 从而实现英语学习中口语用于交流表达的最终目的。
第三, 学生根据自身的理解对课文的内容进行探讨, 发表不同的见解。每个学生之间由于阅历不同, 生活经验不同, 知识储备和接受能力也不相同, 因此课文中的内容能够激发不同学生的不同见解。学生之间对此进行探讨和分析, 使得知识的火花产生激烈的碰撞。同时, 又因为没有教师的参与, 学生之间的交流显得更加随性和开放, 有利于促进真实想法的表达, 而成绩较好的学生又在这种合作的学习形式中充当了教师的角色, 可以一边完善各自的知识储备, 在学习中实现自我价值, 同时又给予了同学一定的帮助, 有利于营造良好的班级学习氛围。这种合作方式以英语的口语表达为基础, 可以激发各个水平阶段的学生勇敢表达自己的观点, 锻炼英语口语的表述能力, 化被动学习为主动学习, 激发英语学习的兴趣, 从而提高学习效率。
综上所述, 对话式的教学模式是一种应用于大学英语教学中的新型学习模式, 与传统的英语教学模式相比具有一定的优势, 但是冲突也比较明显, 这对大学英语教师的教学工作提出了新的要求。因此, 教师只有对对话式教学模式进行深入理解, 通过教学实践灵活熟练地运用于英语教学的课堂当中, 并在不断的练习和实践中弥补其存在的不足, 创新更高效的教学模式, 才能真正实现对话式教学的目标, 才能达到教书育人的最终目的。
