i grew up without my father around. he left when i was two years old, and even though my sister and i were lucky

ongoing efforts to be the best father i can be, i’ve learned a couple of things about what our children need most from their parents.

我有一中学同学，毕业后在内地城市里工作，事业编制。这哥们属于怀才不遇的那种，牢骚特多，下了班基本不拢屋，各种酒局，不醉不归。有一次，下雪天，他照常奔赴酒局，突然发现儿子跟在后面。上小学的儿子气喘吁吁。我这同学停下来，问：“咋了？”小孩子特可爱，说：“爸爸，我一路上踩着你的脚印追赶，累死我了。”我这同学毕竟是当年的才子，听到儿子的话，震惊了！那年春节我们聚会，他跟我说：“如果我去酒楼，儿子顺着我的路走，也会找到酒楼的。如果我去夜总会，儿子顺着我的路走，也会找到夜总会的。”此后他改变了行走的路线，回家。

第二个故事，是听来的。有个小女孩一直都以为男孩是爸爸生的，女孩才是妈妈生的。有一天，小女孩跟妈妈去医院，看望一个刚生了一个小弟弟的阿姨。这时候，她才明白：哦，原来男孩也是妈妈生的。接下来，这个小女孩说了一句话：那么，还要爸爸干啥呢？

记得好像是丰子恺说过的话，大意是，小孩子是最大度的，来者不拒，好的教育和坏的教育都很容易被接受。因此，父亲对孩子们的影响是至关重要的。

父亲对儿子的影响，就不必说了。“有其父，必有其子”，古人一句话说死了。

很多父亲不知道父亲对女儿的影响也极其重要。“我未来的丈夫，希望是我父亲那样。”这句话，我不知道听过多少女生讲过。事实也是这样，很多女生心目中的完美恋人，其实就是父亲的形象。这道理也很简单，因为父亲是女儿认识了解的第一个男人，父亲的形象就是他心目中男人的形象。

写到这，我想起我的父亲，一个非常普通的父亲，但我觉得他很优秀，因为他从小以身作则告诉我两点：搞什么事，你都要有规划；搞什么事，你都要琢磨。规划，一步一步来，不着急；琢磨，嘿嘿，这世间，哪有什么难事，再难的事都经不起你琢磨！
