一、教学内容

《新目标英语》八年级上Unit 5以娱乐活动为话题, Section A的话题主要围绕电视节目展开, Section B在此基础上引入电影话题。本堂课的教学内容是Section B部分, 阅读语篇围绕卡通片电影展开, 主要谈论美国卡通形象——米老鼠 (Mickey Mouse) 。

二、教学设计依据

任务型语言教学体现了“教师为主导、学生为主体”的理念, 鼓励学生通过体验获得语言技能。在教学实际操作中, 教师需要对教材进行重新整合, 并根据学生的接受能力开展行之有效的教学活动。

本课教学以“阅读教学”为核心, 采用了新《英语课程标准》倡导的“任务型课文教学途径”教学理念, 即要遵循“整体—局部—整体”的原则。

三、教学目标

四、教学方法

(一) 整体阅读教学法

在教学中, 笔者运用了整体阅读教学方法, 对学生进行相关阅读技巧的训练 (如捕捉关键词或细节, 抓住主题句, 利用语境猜测词义等) , 重视培养学生的阅读习惯, 引导学生利用已有的背景知识对阅读材料进行猜测、推断、概括, 达到培养学生阅读能力的目标。

(二) 交际语言教学法

学习语言的最终目的在于交际, 笔者有意识地加强对学生学习策略的指导, 让学生在学习和运用语言的过程中学会学习, 使学生在一定程度上形成自主学习、有效交际的能力。

六、教学设计思路

本课以Mickey Mouse的诞生、成名过程和所拥有的成就为线索展开。为了更好地完成本课教学任务, 培养学生的语言能力, 笔者设计了教学活动流程图 (见图1) 。

七、教学媒介

笔者运用实物、录音机、多媒体等教学媒介, 为学生创设逼真的情境, 激发学生积极参与的欲望。

八、教学过程

Step 1:Leading in

Show the students a video about different cartoon characters in different cartoons.

笔者通过播放一首歌曲, 激发学生的兴奋点, 自然地引出本课的主题“动画人物”。

Step 2:Pre-reading

阅读文章是以一个广为人知的卡通形象———Mickey Mouse为核心的。阅读前, 笔者要求学生谈论有关卡通片的话题, 充分激活学生的背景知识。

2. Teach the new language points by introducing the cartoon called“Big Baymax”

Big Hero is a very famous and successful film.The main characters in Big Hero are Xiao Hong and Baymax.It first came out in China on February28, 2015.At first, Xiao Hong was unlucky.He lost his brother and he had some other problems, too.But he was always ready to try his best.And he won at last.

学生快速阅读文章, 并判断自己的预测是否正确。这样, 学生通过快速阅读, 能够整体感知文章, 把握文章大意。

1、课文《老山界》第一段“我们决定要爬一座30里高的瑶山, 地图上叫做越城岭, 土名叫老山界。”“30里高”?一公里等于一千米, 30里就是15公里, 15公里就是15千米, 即15000米。世界第一高峰、有“世界第三极”之誉的珠穆朗玛峰多高?8848.13米。老山界比珠穆朗玛峰还高?这显然是不可能的。作者陆定一表述有误。那么, 老山界到底有多高呢?《辞海》 (1999年版, 缩印本, 上海辞书出版社) 介绍如下:

越城岭, “五岭” (即大庾岭、骑田岭、萌渚岭、都庞岭、越城岭的总称) 之一。亦称始安岭、全义岭、越岭。在广西东北部和湖南边境。东北西南走向。长200公里。为花岗岩断块山。海拔1500米以上。主峰真宝顶 (2123米) 在资源东北, 最高点苗儿山 (2142米) 在资源西南, 为广西最高峰。山势雄伟, 有原始森林, 并有珍贵树种铁衫。

老山界最高点2142米, 何来30里?研读课文, 以下几段文字值得注意:

打听前面的路程, 知道前面有一个地方叫雷公岩, 很陡, 上山30里, 下山15里, 再前面才是塘坊边。

这很短的山爬完了。我以为30里的山就是那么一点;恰巧来了一个瑶民, 同他谈谈, 知道还差得远, 还有20多里很陡的山。

下山15里, 也是很倾斜的。

原来, 作者陆定一要表达的是:从老山界山脚下爬上山顶一共有30里的路程。并非是说老山界的海拔高度是“30里”。

那么, 《老山界》第一段可以这样修改:我们决定要爬一座上山有30里路程的瑶山, 地图上叫越城岭, 土名叫老山界。如果要突出其高, 则可改为:我们决定要爬一座海拔2142米高的瑶山, 地图上叫做越城岭, 土名叫老山界。揣摩作者意图, 第二种改法好些。

如此明显的一处失误, 编者偏偏要为尊者讳, 不但不改过来, 竟还在文后设计了“探究练习”, 煞有介事、故作高深地说什么“有些看似普通的词语, 仅仅从字面上理解, 常会出错。阅读时除了要查字典、词典外, 还要仔细推敲上下文的意思。”然后叫学生“根据语境”推导出“30里高”的“准确意思”。这简直是荒唐。

2、《<长征>节选》这篇课文中的问题更多。

第23页第4行的“特写”:草地上倒下各种头向着北、拼命挣扎前进的红军烈士。都成“烈士”了, 还能“拼命挣扎前进”?红军烈士还有“各种”?如果要凸显红军战士的“活”, 可以改为“草地上有许多倒在地上、头向着北、拼命挣扎前进的红军战士”;如果要突出红军战士的壮烈牺牲, 则可这样改:草地上倒着牺牲前还保持着各种头向着北、拼命挣扎前进姿态的红军烈士。

这篇课文篇幅不太长, 2827个字。但文中4次出现“猝然”一词:

彭德怀俯身整理一位烈士的遗容, 猝然眼花, 栽倒在草地上。

彭德怀猝然拔出手枪, 对准战马扣动了扳机。

毛泽东怀着异样的情感猝然站起身来。

这不是“反复”的修辞, 而是惊人的重复。暴露了作者语言的贫乏。而且这个词在这些语境中用得是否妥当, 值得商榷。令人匪夷所思的是:编者竟在“探究练习”中将“猝然”的意思理解为“表示事情虽说出乎意料, 但又在情理之中”, 这完全歪曲了“猝然”的含义, “猝然”意为“突然;出乎意外”, 哪有“在情理之中”的意思?编者还要求学生“联系课文内容”“说说”“猝然”这个词在句子中的“表达作用”, 这就更不应该了。编者用错误的理解引导学生对作者使用得并不高明的词句进行分析, 其结果只能是坑害学生。

第30页, 有两段文字:

男女红军相继起舞, 草地篝火变成天然的舞台。

毛泽东、董必武、徐特立、谢觉哉等年长的老红军也结伴起舞, 气氛相当热烈。

第一段文字有语病, “篝火”不可能是“舞台”, 只有“草地”才是“天然的舞台”。这句话可改为:男女红军相继起舞, 燃烧着篝火的草地变成天然的舞台。

第二段文字中的第一个顿号应改为“和”。毛泽东所率领的红一方面军和红二方面军过草地的时间大约在1935年的6-8月, 毛泽东 (1893.12.26-1976.9.9) 时年42岁, 董必武 (1886-1975) 49岁, 徐特立 (1877-1968) 58岁, 谢觉哉 (1884-1971) 51岁。与董老、徐老、谢老比, 毛泽东相对“年少”, 不应在“年长”的“老红军”之列。

3、课本第35页倒数第五行“题目的重点在新鲜’, 要写出事情的不一般化的地方”。这儿的“化”是后缀, 作为后缀的“化”的用法是:加在名词或形容词之后构成动词, 表示转变成某种性质或状态。显然, 此处“化”字冗余, 应去掉。

4、课文《最后一课》48页“个个人那么专心, 教室里那么安静。”中的“个个人”别扭, 可把“人”字去掉, 也可改为“每个人”或“人人”。

5、第十四课《我的母亲》中有这样一句话:我眼巴巴地望着她额上的汗珠往下流, 手上一针不停地做着布鞋做给我穿的。这句话中的“流”用得不当, “汗珠”怎会“流”呢?应改为“滴”或“滚”。

还有, “母亲含着泪抱我上床, 轻轻把被窝盖上, 向我额上吻了几吻。”这里, “被窝”应为“被卧”。被窝:为睡觉叠成的长筒形的被子。被卧:被子。“向”应改为“在”。

像以上的错误在教材中还有不少, 在此仅举以上几例, 旨在抛砖引玉, 务请专家学者多多指教。
