一、学好音标, 善记单词。

每接一届初一新生, 我都从教26个英文字母开始, 将音标教学穿插其中, 将字母、音标同步教学, 将二者紧密结合, 让学生熟练掌握每个字母分别都发什么音, 字母组合发什么音, 采用顺口溜和儿歌的形式让学生牢牢掌握音标。教会学生读音规则, 使学生一开始就根据音标自己拼读单词, 减少因语音困难而产生的厌学情绪, 并为快速记忆单词打好坚实的基础。提前教会音标, 使学生很快掌握了学习英语的基本技巧, 并培养了学生自学英语的能力。实践证明, 这对于始终保持学生的学习兴趣, 扫清学习障碍, 是非常必要的。

二、培养学生大声朗读、敢于开口、经典背诵的好习惯。

兴趣是最好的老师, 兴趣是学生主动学习的内驱力。初一新生刚入学时, 对英语学习有一种新鲜感, 学习热情高。但一段时间后, 随着单词的增多, 句式、文段的复杂等, 学生对英语学习的热情逐步减少。针对这种情况, 我们要尽可能地采用多种方式激发学生的兴趣, 在课堂教学中, 运用各种形式的练习, 如猜谜、接龙、竞赛等, 活跃课堂气氛, 调动学生的积极性。经常将学习内容编成一些英语歌曲和顺口溜, 如在教5个元音字母的常见发音时, 通过唱歌的形式, 学生很快记住。在单词教学中采用实物、图片、卡片、录音、多媒体课件等, 使教学更加生动、富有情趣, 或在课前进行词汇、听写接力赛, 多给他们展示自己价值的机会, 让他们体验成功带来的喜悦和自信, 激发学习兴趣。

一个学生对他所学的学科越有兴趣, 学起来就越自觉, 越学越爱学, 学习就越容易取得成功。

四、结合学生实际, 合理布置、严格批改作业, 善于辅导学生。

学生的作业布置与批改是教学工作的一个有机部分。每节课后都要布置少量的作业, 形式也要多种多样, 课内外结合, 口头笔头结合。因材施教, 可以布置难易程度适合不同层次学生的作业, 上课时检查验收。如可以随机抽查一部分学生, 让他们到黑板上写下刚学过的单词, 并现场批改, 写上激励性的语言。对刚入学的学生, 作业尽量做到全收全批。在批改过程中, 把学生容易出现的错误记下来进行分析, 对比较普遍的问题进行重点讲解。在学生的作业本后面, 经常写一些激励性的语言, 每次发作业, 学生都积极打开作业本看老师写给自己的评语。交作业成了他们的一项乐趣, 作业一布置下来, 学生都急于完成, 写得特别认真。另外, 对于掌握情况稍差的学生, 进行及时的课外辅导, 使他们不至于因赶不上而产生厌学情绪。

五、及时搞好总结复习, 做到节节清、课课清、单元清。

每学完一节、一课、一单元, 教师就要认真整理、归纳、小结, 及时检查验收学生学习、掌握知识的情况, 引导学生勤学好问, 发现疑难问题, 及时解决。“学而时习之”, 英语学习也需要及时进行复习。只有多次重复巩固, 才能长久地保持记忆。如, 新目标英语第一册第一单元中系动词“be”的用法就是一个很重要的知识点。教师要及时小结“be”的几种形式及用法, 使学生准确地掌握。对于写法繁杂且难记的单词, 如in-ternational、passenger、successful、experience等, 还有重点句式、句型、语法等, 要及时复习, 温故而知新, 使学到的知识互相衔接, 形成一个应用自如的系统。对学生反馈的问题要做到节节清、课课清、单元清, 尽量让每一个学生都过关, 做到稳扎稳打。

六、有效利用课外时间, 做到课内课外互相补充, 激发学生学习兴趣。

有效利用课外时间不仅可以强化与巩固课内所学的知识, 增强学习效果, 而且能起到激发学生学习兴趣的作用。课外, 充分发挥小组长的作用, 让他们检查本组单词、课文的背诵情况。让他们进行pair work或group work, 开展英语朗诵, 唱英语歌曲, 对话表演, 简短话剧表演、单词竞赛, 英语演讲比赛等一系列的活动, 不仅可以陶冶学生的情操, 还可以在快乐的氛围中轻松掌握英语知识。这些活动活跃了学生的课余生活, 让学生展示了自己, 充分认识到自身的价值, 体会到学习英语的乐趣, 进一步调动了学生学习英语的积极性, 可谓一举两得。

古人云:“授之于鱼,不如授之于渔”。每一位英语教师都容易教会学生“学会”,但较难教会学生“会学”,因此我们英语教师的教学重点应该是要用各种方法教会学生“怎样学”,使学生具备学习和运用英语语言的能力。仔细观察仁爱英语教材的编排不难发现,每一个话题的SectionA通过对话呈现语法知识,SectionB语法知识在对话中的运用并进一步呈现新语言点,SectionC呈现的是一篇阅读文章,因此,教师教学时应让学生把A和B中学的知识运用到文章中去,培养阅读能力,达到学以致用的目的。例如,仁爱英语七下Unit5Topic2:SectionA的教学内容是通过人物对话呈现用现在进行时描述正在进行的活动的表达法。SectionB的教学内容是通过在图书馆借用图书的对话呈现进行礼貌询问的有关句型。SectionC是一篇阅读文章,三个段落分别描述校园内三个地方正在进行的活动,我在教学时,不厌其烦地让学生运用现在进行时反复训练,其目的是巩固本话题的重要语法,让学生有实际解决问题的能力,同时培养学生的书面表达能力和语言运用能力。

通过对教材的分析发现每个话题SectionC的教学内容都是一篇阅读文章,在我们的实际教学过程中学生可能“学会”了这篇文章,但真正“会学”这篇文章的学生不多。为了让学生学会“捕鱼”的真本领,我还要求七年级的学生每天坚持训练阅读一篇立足于教材并与每个单元主题相关的小文章,通过阅读理解、完形填空、选词填空等多样形式,来培养学生的阅读技巧,巩固本话题所学的基本语法、句法知识,增加词汇量;巩固阅读方法,提高阅读兴趣,最终达到培养阅读能力的目的,让学生真正“会学”。

二、重视课堂“潜力”训练

本着学生为课堂教学的主体,教师起主导作用的原则,我高度重视阅读课,利用阅读课资源开发阅读潜力,通过各种方法来提高学生的阅读理解能力和其他方面的能力。接下来以教学仁爱英语七下Unit5Topic2 SectionC为例,简述在课堂教学中我是如何开发阅读课的“潜力”的。

1.设置听力任务

让学生带着问题去听课文,以加深对课文的印象并练习听力。例:让学生听第一段文章并回答问题Where are they?再让学生听第二段文章并回答问题Where are they?最后让学生听第三段文章并回答问题Where are they?

2.快速阅读课文

听完课文两遍后,让学生打开课文自己去快速阅读,了解没听懂的地方。快速阅读是非常重要的一环,因为学生在考试之中没有充裕的时间一句一句地分析,所以我们在课堂中要潜移默化地培养学生快速阅读能力。例:让学生快速阅读课文并underline the structure be +.ving

3.精读课文

设置问题让学生自己去仔细阅读课文,去理解课文,去寻找问题,解决问题。培养学生的英语语感,用英语思考的能力。例:让学生精读课文并且match the activities with the students:

4.语法讲解

对于语法的讲解,不是从理论的角度去分析,而是以句子的形式讲解,以句子的形式巩固,以句子的形式练习,让学生始终在句子当中理解语法的使用,把语法的理论知识和实际有效快速地结合起来。例:呈现三个教学场所的图片让学生看图片用现在进行时造句子说句子,大量的训练并感知现在进行时的用法。

5.检验阅读效果

通过让学生回答有关课文内容的一些问题和利用图片、句子复述课文的方式来检验学生的阅读效果。例:利用图片和连线题让学生复述课文。

二、阅读理解的解题步骤和方法

1.通读全文,掌握大意

做阅读理解题一定要学会通过快速阅读,从整体上理解短文的大意及中心思想,领会出题人的意图。切忌人为地将短文搞得支离破碎,逐词逐句地去感知材料,看一句或几句做一个题目,这样会影响答题的正确率。但是对于一些长句和难句要作语法分析,以便掌握短文的大意和每个句子的确切含义。短文的开头和结尾往往是全文内容的概括,对理解、推理都会有很大的帮助。

2.细审题意,获取信息

认真审阅文后的理解题。在审题时要弄清楚试题问的是细节(如人物、时间、地点)还是主题大意;是事实还是观点;是从正面问还是从反面问。看清试题后,带着问题再回到正文中去寻找有关的句子、段落,获取重要的信息。然后把所获得的信息点与所给的答案逐一进行认真的比较,以便作出正确的判断。

3.分层推理,正确答题

有些理解题可以直接从短文中找到答案。有些深层次的理解题在短文中找不到直接的信息点,要经过分析推理,从已有的信息链中判断文章的意思,即应以短文中提供的间接信息点为依据,根据作者的意图,凭借你们自己的社会文化知识和生活经验,加进短文中所没有明确表述的却又与主题有联系的思想和信息,进行合乎逻辑的推理,从而确定正确的选项。
