学生每人有一本人教版英语教科书还有一套与此书配套的磁带, 因此我在上开学第一节课时, 重点提出每人准备一台录音机或复读机, 主要目的是为了能听到这位“好老师 (磁带) 的课”。每个周末我必布置的作业:1.把刚教完的这一单元的课文背出来录音。2.把刚教的这一单元的单词看音标读并拼出来录音。3.把下一单元的单词看音标读并拼出来录音。4.把下一单元的课文读出来录音。最后我让学生对这次作业完成的情况进行自我评价并录音。下周一磁带交上来, 我听后会录上我的评语, 个别的也会重新面批。

每个周末学生既复习了旧知识, 又预习了新知识。在完成这类作业的过程中, 让学生真正成为学习的主人, 为终身学习打下坚实的基础。

二、写手抄报

动手涂涂画画, 是每个学生的兴趣爱好。根据他们这一点特点, 我在设计作业时, 创造机会让学生在学习中玩一玩, 画一画, 培养学生的学习兴趣。

七年级上册Starter Unit3 What color is it?是关于颜色的辨认, 课文里有让学生用彩色笔涂奥运会五环旗。我让学生周末每人准备一张关于奥运的手抄报 (其中的一个角落要写上这一单元的句型What color is it?、It’s green/….) 不仅巩固本单元的重点句型和词汇, 还增强了有关奥运常识, 使抽象的句型与生活联系起来, 拓展了知识面。在学生学了英语广告后, 布置学生为自己喜爱的职业写份招聘广告等等。

这类作业学生要寻找、收集资料, 培养了他们收集、处理信息的能力, 通过展览的形式, 评选出优秀的进行表扬、鼓励。小小的奖励带给他们极大的乐趣和更大的学习动力。

三、自编音乐

新教材中有许多的chant和song, 琅琅上口, 加快学生对句型和单词的掌握。改编song的歌词对农村初中生来说太难了, 改编chant就简单多了。因此在授完一则chant后, 我会布置学生周末回家改编这则chant, 要求是:边用手打拍子, 边把改编的chant录音。如七年级下Unit3 Why do you like koalas?我让学生周末在家根据此旋律作词, 选出有创意的在星期二早读让全班学生跟读。

四、深入生活

在信息时代的今天, 农村学生接触、学习英语的途径也不少, 我鼓励学生多注意身边的英语, 用生活中的英语来丰富自己的词汇, 例如学26个英文字母时, 有的学生父母做服装生意的, 就懂得XL、L、M、S来表示衣服的型号, 有的举例店名, 如, addidas, KFC等。在英美国家“愚人节”“圣诞节”, 我布置学生周末去收集有关的知识, 体会英美文化, 感受异域风情。母亲节和父亲节, 我布置每位学生为父母买一份小礼物, 并一定要说一声节日快乐!

讲解了现在进行时后, 布置同学们在公共场所观察人们在做些什么, 边观察、边记录或用简笔画画出来, 并用英语描绘给别人听。
