要学会听懂考官问题

英语中的问题一般分为两种形式：close-ended questions 和 open-ended questions

前者只需要用

一、两个词作答，而后者则需要进一步的解释和说明。一般来说面试当中，为了避免谈话陷入沉闷单调的气氛当中，考官一般是要将这两种问题有机地结合起来。考生要准确把握对方所问问题的性质，给予其想要的回答，从而避免了对于只需要简短回答的问题啰嗦个没完，对于需要进一步阐释的问题却回答得不够。两种情况都会给考官留下不好的印象。

一般来说两种问题的引导词有比较明显的不同，请大家注意掌握：

【注意】

对于open-ended questions,在组织答案时，最好先用一句话或者一个短语将你要说的主要意思总结一下，这样不仅可以再拖延一点时间，而且也有助于对方听清楚你的答案，从而会比较容易留下思路清晰的好印象。

That Evening Sun ends with a question by Quetnin, “who will do our washing now, father?”He is rather more anxious about his own personal welfare, worrying over such a trivial problem as who will wash the family’s clothes while Nancy is under her utmost fear.Quentin’s question represents the astonishing indifferences of the whites toward the black’s sufferings.

Ⅲ.Conclusion

Therefore, through Quentin’s question, Faulkner not only unifies the first and the last section in the story, but also reinforces the theme of black people’s sufferings and the white man’s indifferences toward them.In this way, Faulkner not only colors the short story but also riches the theme of the story.

①面试前的准备，如果你对这家公司了解不多，最好多做些功课，防止被问到常识性问题卡壳。我在Dow Chemical面试就被问到，Dow在中国那些地方有工厂，我在准备时看到过，虽然说不完整，但提了两个地方也算蒙混过关了。

②面试穿正装，不迟到这些已经被强调很多次了。我加两个细节，一是进公司之前先去洗手间一次，正衣冠，清内存。同时通过这个窗口可以看出这个公司或这个大楼的整体管理水平。二是面试结束时，注意把自己的矿泉水瓶，或水杯带出，丢入垃圾箱，显示面试者的良好素质。以前曾看到，有公司故意扔个扫把或纸团在地上考验面试者，现在估计不大碰到了。

③面试过程中切忌答非所问，洋洋洒洒却离题万里。不要急于发言，听清问题。如果面试官喜欢，让他多讲好了，自己言多难免有所疏忽，倾听永远是个好习惯。

④准备好相关的问题，几乎每个面试结束时，都要被问到有无问题。这个问题问得好，会大大加分，提问不要太宏观和敏感，最好是和前面的面试过程和应聘的职位紧密相关的。实在想不出，就准备两个保险的。比如：这个职位的KPI考评指标有哪些?这个职位在公司的职业发展方向是什么?

⑤面试结束必须在当天发封感谢的E-mail，我在面试之前都会主动交换名片，这样就有了面试者的邮箱和联系方式。

有的同学曾经也问过我，英文的面试到底需要不需要技巧，每个学校的英文面试时间并不长，五六分钟、七八分钟，这么短的时间，到底需要不需要英文的面试技巧？我们就要想，如果你没有技巧，会带来什么？今天距离开始面试的时间应该也只有一个月了，如果有的同学觉得今天开始还为早的话，再推半个月，当你只剩半个月时间的时候才开始，我们要做什么？

首先，我们需要英文面试技巧吗？

这个问题其实是需要想，我觉得这个问题的答案很清楚，当然需要，而原因就是，“You never get a second chance to make a first impression”大家知道，第一印象是非常重要的，就像我们和别人见面，第一面很重要，决定了你会给别人留下一个什么印象，而这个印象就是决定性的。但是，第一印象是很短时间就有的，这个很短时间的印象就会给你带来终身都遗憾的事情。那么，到底有多少时间来留这个第一印象呢？有人说一分钟，也就是60秒，总之是在很短的时间下，你需要给对方留下一个很好的印象。之所以有这样两句话作为铺垫，我们知道，技巧是需要的，训练肯定是需要的。

第二，假如现在我们根本不作训练，根本不考虑面试的技巧。大家想，在面试的时候，对方会和你有什么交流？很简单的，他会问你“你能否作一个自我介绍？”那么，我们可以看到有的同学真的是语无伦次的，而且开始发愣，他不是不了解自己，而且想过千百次为什么要考MBA，但是他当场发愣了。另外一类不是说不出来，而是说得缺乏逻辑性。英文面试需要花的时间是多少呢？需要你在多短的时间内给对方一个清楚、明白的说明？也就是一分半，这一分半钟能说出什么呢？很多人只能说出自己叫什么，年龄多大，为什么来参加这个面试。

还有一种就是枯燥乏味的。我们知道，每个人身上都有一定的幽默性，但是你如何说得与别人不同？就像我们说的在考试的时候要写得清楚一点，就是为改卷的老师考虑，他们的住宿条件又差，心情又很郁闷，如果再看到缭乱的笔记，他的心情会非常差。面试的时候也是一样，老师听了那么多介绍，觉得都差不多，他的心情会不太好，但如果你的表现非常幽默，会给他一个好印象。

如果我们从今天开始准备，需要准备什么？

其实大家面临的也就这两个问题，第一，可能有人觉得担心听不懂。这是很常见的，刚才王令老师说了，英语就是一种交流的工具。如果对方说的你听不懂，交流的目的就无法发现。第二种是你懂，但是说不出。

那么怎样解决呢？首先要解决的是，在这段时间里，你要听懂的是什么？大家可以看到，北大、清华或人大一些名校，他们的面试流程具体来说都各有不同，但事实上都会有一些环节，老师和你有一个交流，你和你的同伴有一个交流，就这两个环节，在这个过程中，第一你要听懂老师的话，如果听不懂，你一下子告诉他，我的英语很差，这不行。个别老师如果心情好，他会和你有一丁点寒暄，包括进门的时候说“How do you do？”这时候你怎么作反应？如果不回应那也不行，甚至有时候老师会在你面前有炫耀，他会问你一长串的问题，这时候我们也要想怎样让他实现虚荣心的满足，他满意了，你也就满意了。还有一种是和同

伴的交流，特别是考清华的同学要注意，因为清华每年都有和同伴的交流，无论是小组讨论还是一对一讨论，这种形式对于你能否顺利通过不好说，如果你的同伴很优秀，那你就成了陪练，你站在他旁边，他侃侃而谈，而你发愣，那就麻烦了。还有，和同伴的交流也很重要，你和一个棒槌在一块儿，在交流的时候，他听不懂你说话，你听不懂他在说什么，他会很痛苦，这种事儿我们遇到过，他觉得自己这一生最悲凉的事情就是遇到他，他根本听不懂你说什么。这就是我们说为什么大家在考试前要尽量多地接触不同的同伴，这种接触表示你可以适应更多的语言形式，你不要期望你的同伴的发音很准备，甚至要做到面试官都听不懂你同伴的问题，你都听懂了，而且还和他无障碍交流，这样面试官都会从心里佩服你，觉得你这个人的英语实在很强。

为什么我们要搞面试呢？这个面试英语对大家将来有什么意义？这绝对不是一个光口，不仅仅是因为你上课的时候都有这样的教材，大家更希望的是在将来能够流利地和同伴交流。而这样的要求并不过分，这样的要求要实现必须是一点一滴积累的，而这一点并不要求我们去听最标准的英语，你将来见到的客户可能是操着各种各样口气、语气的英语，能听懂也是非常重要的能力。

有人问我，可以听什么？比如国际广播电台、商务谈判等等，这些不要听，因为跟你的考试没有关系，大家不要对自己提过高的要求，我们作笔试辅导的时候就说过这点，我们现在都提倡终身学习，你把这个要求要放在自己的一生中，现在我们的要求是要过英文面试，这些和你的英文面试没有关系，所以我们不要听。

我们到底要听什么呢？如果大家觉得自己的听力现在比较差，你可以从四六级的短对话开始听，这种资料非常多，市面上随便可以找到。为什么从这个开始听呢？因为很遗憾，这两年的考试都不考听力，我们给大家辅导的时候就问过，不考听力是好事还是坏事？就看你怎么看。从过笔试这关来说，它当然是一件好事，但是因为我们面临的笔试越来越强，现在来看就不是好事。所以对于个别人对自己的听力特别没信心的，要从四六级的短对话开始听。其次要听的是日常生活中的各式各样的对话，这不仅是针对清华的同学，清华有这样的短对话考试，如果你有时间，把日常的各种各样的短对话多听听也没有坏处。

第三是面试中的一些文件，这些在市面上很好找。

最后是讨论问题，我指的并不是商务谈判，是对一些问题的普遍性讨论，日常性讨论。这些资料，我们都会分门别类地给大家准备，大家接触这些资料是很有用的，不仅对现在的考试有帮助，将来也会有帮助。

关于“说不出”的问题，还可以细分，有的同学是当你让他用英文讲的时候，他真的讲不出来。还有的人是有话讲，但是讲不出来。第三、是如何使自己说的话有效，这要保证两点：一，说得正确，为什么我们要纠正大家的发音和语法呢？就是要使你说出的话正确。其次是要清晰，我们不要求在座各位说出的英语都非常优美，这是需要长时间做到的，但是我们必须要求大家说出的英语是正确的。比如一个很简单的词，大家在学习的时候都会遇到，“大学”，这个词的发音很简单，我不强调你一定要发出“v”的音，我们至少要求你的重音要对，很多同学会把强调音节放在“c”的音上。像这样的读音错误是非常明显的，而且会给你带来非常不好的影响。

如果你发现自己没有话说，接下来这段时间你应该做如下几件事情：第一，你要报考什么样的学校，就应该了解这个学校的相关内容，包括它MBA项目的内容。这是非常关键的，因为你了解了以后，这些就可以作为背景信息，当你需要的时候就可以说出来。第二，我们看了书中的面试流程介绍以后，很简单的一点，就是要考察你的英语表达能力。有的同学说，我报考的学校不要求提供英文简历，不管要求不要求，你一定要准备，因为它可以清晰地浓缩你的经验历史。

第三是预测可能会问到什么问题。

重要的是“Practice again and again until it appears natural”。有同学曾经提出过这样的问题，比如说我参加过这样的培训班训练，结果有人传考场上如果有发现参加过辅导班的同学就会把他Pass掉？要达到这个境界才可以，不是说上这样的培训是错误的，而是说你不够 努力，怎样看他看不出来你上过这样的培训班，这是需要训练的。

我们的辅导班还会告诉大家如何去装扮自己。在面试当天你还要注意很多细节的事情，我们会一项一项地给大家列出来。

如果你觉得还不着急，那么，当你还剩半个月的时间还需要做什么？你需要把我说的以上事情在半个月内做完，那时候自然会发现自己跟不上，那时候自己的压力会很大的，有些人就开始失眠了，会给大家造成很大的伤害，我们不希望把大家逼到那个份儿上，大家好不容易通过了笔试，现在终于站到这个舞台上，我们希望大家很好地充分利用自己的时间，把自己最闪亮的一面展示给考官。
