The lines touching me most in the book is “My momma always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are goanna get.”

Yes, life is full of uncertainty and puzzle. For someone, they wish to have the power to forecast future. Because they can be well prepare for the opport unities and challen ges and even know the lucky numbers of lottery beforehand. But for me, I don’t want to have such “ability”at all. Life is a mystery and everyone has his own way. I enjoy the surprise of receiving gift from my classmates on my birthday and running into an old friend on the street in another city, etc. There are so many amazing incidents in my life which can’t be happen if I have the power to forecast the future.

To Forrest Gump, who was born with intellectual disturbance and muscle problem in his leg, he never imagined that he could become a famous American football player, a war hero and even a millionaire. Forrest won dignity and respect though his strive and perseverance.

I believe I can make a better life for those I love though my own effort. Have a little faith for your life. Let’s enjoy our life everyday with dignity, honesty, braveness and love just like Forrest Gump!

There is a line in the movie which was said by Agam’s great mom. “Life is like a kind of chocolate.You never know what it’s like.”And this movie illustrates that.It depicts the inspirational story of Forrest Gump,a boy born with dysnoesia,who persistently strive for self-improvement and was finally blessed by god for “stupid people have stupid happiness” and works wonders in many fields.

From my perspection,the film was made with great care.First of all,the film used the highest level of computer-generated special effects at the time.Like a feather in the opening and the ending.And the most amazing thing about it was Forrest Gump appears in the old real films.These are very detailed and realistic.Another wonderful thing about this film is its music.If it doesn’t have the right music,this film will lose much of its appeal.

It’s a profound movie in any era especially at that time. “The uniqueness of this film lies in that it reasserts the old moral and social subject culture and promotes the mainstream ideology of 1960s America,while it negates other avant-grade new cultures. I think that’s why it’s so popular with the American people.”Robert Zemeckis commented. Assuredly,the image of the Forrest Gump subverts the hero image in the normal world and goes against the traditional concept.The film’s director turned Forrest Gump from a phantom figure of history into a real,flesh and blood man.And I prefer to think of Forrest Gump as a child occupying the body of an adult,a sage fool,an ordinary person beyond the real, a little person representing the national character.

However, in postmodernists’view, there is no superiority and inferiority.Heroes are not flawless.They may be ordinary people and have human nature such as cowardly, greedy, and selfish.A person is fraught with human frailties, unlike the perfect images of the white-hatted cowboy and the noble warrior.In the postmodern era, traditionally defined heroic qualities, akin to the classic"knight in shining armor"type, have given way to the"gritty truth"of life, and authority in general is being questioned.In order to break the shackles of the traditional concept, seeking self-liberation, postmodernists try to create"Anti-hero"images which are often ordinary person, especially persons who are invisible in modern society and are marginalized by traditional notions and morality.They are timid, or have some kind of moral, mental or physical defects.

on his life.It is Forrest Gump.After that class I made a decision to watch it.I am feeling very deep after watching and I understood why this movie can makes my teacher watch so many times.“Don’t ever let anybody tell you that they’re better than you, Forrest.If God intended everybody to be the same, he’d have given us all braces on our legs.” Mrs.Gump said.These sentences give me a deep thought at
